Stimulation of Sustainable Energy Production(SDE+) "2018"
The SDE+ is an operating (feed-in-tariff) subsidy. Producers receive a guaranteed payment (subsidy) for the energy they generate from renewable sources. The production of renewable energy is not always profitable, as the cost of production is higher than for fossil energy. SDE+ compensates for the difference between the cost price of renewable energy and the market value of the energy supplied: the non-profitable portion.
